Your will have to link to every web page on your website from the sitemap page. So in this example, your sitemap should have five hundred links. The concept of the sitemap is very simple, but the impact it can have for your website is something that should not be taken lightly. Yes, the mighty search engines will be able to fully index your entire website very easily if you use a sitemap. But you may ask, why is that important. It is said that over ninety five percentage of all Internet users that surf the web by using search engines to find what they are looking for. So search engines have the power to send you a tremendous amount of traffic. That will increase your websites visitors and make your website well known throughout the world. If a search engine is able to find every web page on your website and indexes it, your website can appear in the search engine results pages. If someone types in a certain keyword phase and a search engine thinks that one of your web pages is relevant to that keyword phase, then the search engine will send you the traffic.

So now that you know the importance of a sitemap, make sure that you add one to your website. It will make navigating your website easier for your visitors and it will make it easier for search engines to find all your web pages. Also make sure that you have a link to your sitemap on every web page of your website. That will increase your sitemaps exposure.
