Arbitrage Betting: Get in on it

Dazza Walker

Betting arbitrage is a method of creating a bet that has a zero risk. I know this sounds too good to be true but the truth is that it is possible if you look in the right places.

The situation is easier found now that online betting is so popular and a punter can see so many different odds at so many different betting site at virtually the same time. If one of the online betting sites has odds on a particular sports that are out of line from the rest then it can be expolited so that you have basically got a no lose gamble. The down side of the system ( I know it sounded too good), is that you may be able to expolit odds that are varied between bookies but to make decent money on it you have to bet big to win small. Obviously you get your stake back and you have a profit but there is always an uncomfortable period waiting on a result when you have layed out alot of dough.

An example of how this works is to bet on something that is a close call. Say there is a tennis match between two evenly matched players. One bookie might make a player 6/4 because it is not their favoured surface and another bookie might make the other player 6/4 because of a higher ranking. If you take both bets at ᆪ500 you are betting a total of ᆪ1000 pounds and if either player wins you collect ᆪ1250 so you win ᆪ250 for doing nothing.

The odds are very rarely that good in your favour and only used as a simple example but whether it is small or large amount a no lose gamble is a no lose gamble no matter how you see it. Generally, you can bet risk free on most sporting events such as Football, Baseball, Boxing, Basketball, Tennis, Soccer, Golf, Snooker, Cricket, Hockey, Ice Hockey and Darts. One word of caution is to be careful with games that can finish in a draw so tennis games are a better sport to look out for where there has to be a winner.
