How to Pay Unexpected Bills
Shaun Connell
When an unexpected emergency pops up, sometimes theres no way to pay a bill, repair the car, or something else. There are a few options for this:
1. Ask for an Extension
Extensions are the lifeline of people who are about to be late for a bill. Contact the person who billed you, try to go all the way up to the top of management, and explain your situation. If youve never missed a payment before, and this is your first time to miss a payment, emphasize that. Theres a great chance that youll end up just paying for the issue with your regular paycheck.
2. Ask for Help
You can go to your closest family members, and ask them to help you out of this tight spot. Sometimes theyll help, because theyre your family. They have an incentive to see you do well. Also, getting a "loan" from family and friends is less risky, given that you probably won't have to risk losing any of your property if you need an extra extension.
3. Credit Cards/Loans
Next you can go see if you can find some credit cards that you own. Hopefully youll have enough there. Use credit cards before getting a normal loan, because you can pay it off a lot more quickly. Credit cards are, by far, the most efficient way of paying of unexpected expenses. You can also get bad credit credit cards. Just look around.
4. Short Term Fast Cash Loans
If all else fails, this is the place for you. You can get money that you need overnight, even with bad credit. Short term loans are designed with you in mind. This is only if you don't have any other options though. Make sure to see if you can get a credit card instead of the short term loan.
