The agency also advices to keep the person still until the medical help arrive. Keep the injured person lying down and quiet in a darkened room, with the head and shoulders slightly elevated. Do not move the person unless necessary and avoid moving the persons neck.
If there is bleeding, apply firm pressure to the wound with sterile gauze or a clean cloth. However, do not apply direct pressure on the wound if you suspect a skull surface.
If the person shows no sign of circulation such as breathing, coughing and movement, begin CPR.
