Chevrolet announces price of the 2009 Traverse

Chevrolet has announced that its new arrival due for release in fall, the 2009 Traverse crossover, will be made available at an MSRP of $28,990. This includes a $735 destination charge, for the 2WD LS model.

The 2009 Chevrolet Traverse seeks to combine styling and leading fuel economy with a comprehensive set of equipment, and is pitched as an expression of the Chevrolet value.

The 2009 Chevrolet Traverse is fitted with a 3.6L engine with direct injection technology. This gives the vehicle the same power as that found in many V-8 engines; yet, it delivers improved fuel consumption and a gives a 25-percent reduction in cold-start emissions. Six standard air bags, with rollover sensor, including side curtain air bags that deploy over all three seating rows; StabiliTrak electronic stability control system and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes are among the important safety features of the 2009 Chevrolet Traverse. * * * * * * * * * * Chrysler announces price for the new 2009 Dodge Durango and Aspen Hybrid Chrysler has announced that the price of its premium hybrid models, the new 2009 Dodge Durango HEMIᆴ Hybrid and the new 2009 Chrysler Aspen HEMI Hybrid will be nearly $8,000 lesser than that of the competition.

While the 2009 Dodge Durango is priced at $45,340 including $800 for destination, the MSRP for the 2009 Chrysler Aspen HEMI Hybrid is $45,570, including $800 for destination. Both models give the buyer a chance to receive a further estimated tax credit of $1,800.

The 20 mpg that these two models deliver is an improvisation of 40 percent city conditions, and 25 percent overall. Other features of the models are best-in-class cargo room; 6,000 lbs towing capacity, and an electrically variable transmission, a system that gives optimum mileage in most conditions and speeds.

The 2009 Chrysler Aspen HEMI Hybrid and the 2009 Dodge Durango HEMI Hybrid have a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine in common. This combines with its advanced two-mode hybrid system to take the total power to 385 horsepower at 380 lb ft of torque. Another feature of these models is the MDS technology, which saves fuel by taking up either the four or six-cylinder modes as required by the driving condition.

While both these models drive on the same engine, they are different in other ways, and carry their own unique aspects.

The 2009 Chrysler Aspen HEMI Hybrid comes with a signature sculpted hood on a chromed grille; chromed accents on body-side moldings; air conditioning; door handles and side mirrors; 18-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels; front and rear LED lamps that can be individually aimed; wood-accented door panels and instrument-panel center stack; a 60/40 third-row bench seat; overhead console with HomeLinkᆴ Universal Transceiver and Electronic Vehicle Information Center; UConnect GPS and floor console with rear power accessory outlet.

The 2009 Chrysler Aspen HEMI Hybrid has many standard safety features. Prominent among these are Trailer Sway Control that is exclusive to Chrysler; anti-lock brake system and front air bags; electronic stability program; tire pressure monitoring system; three-row side-curtain air bags with roll sensing; ParkSenseᆴ Rear Park Assist System, and ParkView" Rear Back-up Camera System.

The 2009 Dodge Durango HEMI Hybrid is recognizable by its signature crosshair grille and rectangular headlamps with dual-halogen bulbs that are wrapped around the corners of the fenders. Its other main features are air conditioning; afterburner tail lamps and a chromed appliqu← for the rear; front and rear LED lamps that can be individually aimed; premium two-tone door panels and satin silver finish instrument-panel center stack; a floor console with rear power accessory outlet; UConnect GPS and overhead console with HomeLinkᆴ Universal Transceiver and Electronic Vehicle Information Center.

Among the range of standard equipment the 2009 Dodge Durango HEMI Hybrid gets are eight-way power drivers seat with memory; premium leather-trimmed bucket seats; heated front-row seats; four-way power passenger seat; a 60/40 third-row bench seat, and a second-row bench seat.

With a turning radius of 37.5 ft, the Durango also has rear suspension has coil springs and a solid rear axle secured with a Watts linkage system.

The 2009 Dodge Durango HEMI Hybrids safety features include standard Electronic Stability Program with Electronic Roll Mitigation and Trailer Sway Control; anti-lock brake system; side-curtain air bags for all three rows; Sentry Keyᆴ engine immobilizer and a tire pressure monitoring system.
