Cape Town Tours The Bay of All Bays

Mokhalaka Kakudi

So Namibia has Walvis Bay to pride itself with. We have plenty of bays to keep us happy. Forget about Richards Bay and Coffee Bay in the eastern part of the country; save them for another day. What Im talking about is the Cape Towns million of bays (not parking bays). Just imagine the bays in Cape Town alone; Camps Bay, Bantry Bay, LLuandano Bay and Hout Bay. I could go on all day. Keep in mind the fact that I havent even counted Gordons Bay, Bettys Bay and all the bays along the garden route. I hope you can now see that as far as bays are concerned, South Africa need not mourn the loss of Walvis Bay.

Yes, Walvis Bay is a paradise in its own right. But lets not kid ourselves people; the bays Ive mentioned are in a league of their own. Their only competition is within the borders of South Africa; and definitely not Namibia, or the landlocked state of Zimbabwe.

So which of these is the bay of all bays? Is it Bettys Bay and its serene beaches, or is it mighty Camps Bay the land where capitalists stand on their balconies and wonder how theyll go about with the acquisition of the ocean? What about Bantry Bay, the place most Sea Point residents wish to relocate to one day; could that be the bay of all bay or would Llanduano have a problem with this? One thing I can tell you about Llanduano is that it makes sure that the breath Camps Bay took away&doesnt come back. Its the place they purposely forgot to mention when they told you about Cape Town; a trump card of some sort.

The way I see things, Gordons Bay and Hout Bay dont quite make the standard set by Camps Bay, Bantry Bay and Llanduano. There is a certain feeling you get when youre in Camps Bay; the feeling of never wanting to leave. I dont feel that in Hout Bay or Gordons bay. The way I see things; this is a three way contest between Camps Bay, Llanduano and Bantry Bay. But If I had to pick my bay of all bays, it would definitely be Camps Bay.
