No Really, Don't Watch This - Quality Child Care For Parents
Along with the parents in denial and the uninformed parents, come the parents that think their child deserves special treatment above all the others in their class. Do parents really think that when they bring their child to a child care center or home facility, that their child will really be getting the undivided attention they deserve? I agree that every child needs way more attention and love than they receive, even from parents that stay at home, mostly due to the fact that adults always feel like they have something that needs to be done. However, I do feel that children receive way more attention when they are in a setting that allows them to receive one-on-one time with a caregiver or parent. In child care, that just isnt the case.
Some parents think that teachers should have an unlimited amount of time to devote to their child, but they dont realize how demanding a class of 18 4-year-olds is each and every day for two people to handle. Even in a small group setting that means I have 9 children fighting for my attention, a lot of times, simultaneously. Children are egocentric which means they dont understand why when they are calling your name you dont respond immediately. So if four children call my name simultaneously at any given time throughout the day, I constantly have something to do. Anyone who has more than one child can understand this.
Parents, are you looking for quality daycare or childcare? Are you looking for someone whos more than a babysitter? Wondering what your states standards and regulations are? Want your children to get a good early childhood education from a teacher who cares and is qualified? Have you checked out your local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCR&R) for quality childcare?
I hope by watching my videos as well I can offer some help and guidance for your childcare needs.

Ive also written a book because of my experiences in teaching and, most importantly, my experiences teaching in child care. Ive always been one to demand excellence in everything I do and from everyone I encounter. The fact that child care is less than excellent keeps me searching for a way to improve the standards that arent meeting my, and hopefully your expectations.
I always thought that if Im a good teacher and a good role model, then others will follow suit and step up to the challenge of creating quality child care, and that it would be enough. Ive always hoped that there are more people out there that have the same standards I do and are creating the same quality than not, but the more I teach, the more I find this isnt the case.
