Child Care, anyone can do it - Quality Child Care For Parents
Some necessary things that every quality child care should have include the following:
" It is essential that the caregivers in the child care have training in child development. This includes caregivers that have a minimum degree of a CDA or caregivers that are working to that level.
" A facility that is working toward or has achieved national standards, or accreditation is also an indicator of quality. In many states, there are no standards, so any child care that has gone above and beyond to meet higher standards is definitely a quality child care.
" Another thing to look for in a quality child care is small group sizes. The more attention a child can receive in child care, the better off he or she will be.
" Look to see that the program focuses on the needs of the child and works with families as a partner in the childs learning.
" Turnover seems to be high in child care, so check to see that the care your child will receive is consistent and above all, healthy and safe.
Parents, are you looking for quality daycare or childcare? Are you looking for someone whos more than a babysitter? Wondering what your states standards and regulations are? Want your children to get a good early childhood education from a teacher who cares and is qualified? Have you checked out your local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCR&R) for quality childcare?
I hope by watching my videos as well I can offer some help and guidance for your childcare needs.

Ive also written a book because of my experiences in teaching and, most importantly, my experiences teaching in child care. Ive always been one to demand excellence in everything I do and from everyone I encounter. The fact that child care is less than excellent keeps me searching for a way to improve the standards that arent meeting my, and hopefully your expectations.
I always thought that if Im a good teacher and a good role model, then others will follow suit and step up to the challenge of creating quality child care, and that it would be enough. Ive always hoped that there are more people out there that have the same standards I do and are creating the same quality than not, but the more I teach, the more I find this isnt the case.
