It is happend fir or more years ago, with no convitions since then You are not required to tell your possible employers anything about your delinquency cases. Nor do you have to inform them that you were a "Child in Need of Services". (CHINS), as long as the case was not transferred to Superior Court for criminal prosecution.
Can you explained what the meaning of having a criminal record sealed? The good news is that once a record is sealed, only those within the criminal justice system are allowed to see it. The police and the courts can still see it, but for almost everyone else it is like the charge does not exist. Some Massachusetts criminal records can be sealed. If they have been sealed, then most employers will be unable to view them during a CORI check. Btw- You do not have to tell employers about criminal records that have been sealed!
How do you make your record sealed? Have your misdemeanor convictions been closed for 10 years and your felony convictions been closed for 15 years? If they have then you are eligible for your criminal record to be sealed. Definiton: When the case closes either on the person's last day of prison, parole, and or probation or any of the above that may came last. And what is the amount of time this will take? You will have to show that there is a compelling governmental interest or a good reason to seal the record since there is no waiting period These charges could very well be keeping you from finding any employment or housing.
