A man living in New York recently pleaded guilty to lying about the removal of asbestos in the Massena Central School District.
After being charged and admitting to wrongdoing, the man received two years probation, will be expected to take part in 100 hours of community service and has been fined $125.
False Asbestos Information Given to Authorities
Ben G. Gladding, 48, reportedly gave false information to a federal special agent regarding whether or not he had removed asbestos during while working for the school district.
Investigators say Gladding told them that he didnt remove asbestos from any of the schools in the district over the 29 years that he conducted work in the area.
Asbestos Inspection Never Reported
Gladding has also been charged with falsifying a report of an inspection that happened earlier in the year at Jefferson Elementary School.
He didnt tell the proper authorities about that friable asbestos that was disturbed on the school grounds during the course of the inspection.
