The other species of whales can be seen any time not just august to november. Hermanus and False Bay are the right place to see the whales. You can just walk on the seaside if you're not interested for whale watching. By the way, if you love to dive, you can contact a travel bureau in Cape Town for scuba diving.
Port Elizabeth Also known as PE, or windy city, is a major seaport of South Africa. It has amazing coastal scenery and wonderful sightseeing of the Garden Route (Oudtshoorn, Knysna and Tsitsikamma). If you have time, go to Addo Elephant Park, 72km to the north near the Zuurberg mountain. As a major seaport, PE is famous with its watersports. Fishing, paragliding, surfing, cruising, you name it, you can enjoy it all.
Boulders beach. Just like its name, its a beach bouldered with something like granite. What is interesting about this beach? Tourist come here to watch Pinguins, hundreds of African's pinguin colony. They also come here to swim, enjoying the beach. The water is amazingly clear.
