Wassily Kandinsky (December 1866  December 1944) was a Russian painter, printmaker and art theorist. Kandinsky was one of the most renowned 20th century artists; hes recognized with painting the first modern abstract works. His art movement belongs to the Expressionism and abstract art. Wassily Kandinsky early paintings were executed in a naturalistic style, however in 1909, after a journey to Paris during which he was highly impressed by the works of the Fauves and postimpressionists, his paintings became more highly colored.

Among his main works we can mention: Der Blaue Reiter (1903), Munich-Schwabing with the Church of St. Ursula (1908), Composition VII (1913), On White II (1923) and Composition X (1939). Majority of good works use Telas.
