Teenage Panic Attacks
Susanne Penfold
If you suffer from teenage panic attacks you are not alone, you are not a freak and there is help out there. Please remember you are not alone. 1 in 10 Americans suffer from Panic attacks. So for every 10 people that you see in the street at least one of those has suffered from an attack at some stage in their life. If you are a mum or dad feeling like you have the only child in the world with this condition you are not.
With so much pressure on teenagers is it any wonder that more teenagers are suffering from this condition. When my daughters panic attacks started to get out of control, I felt like the only Mum in the world whose daughter was suffering. None of my friend's children had this condition, so you do fell isolated. All I can say is thank you for the internet. There is so much information out there on this subject.
What I did find though that if a teenager was looking to find out about teenage panic attacks a lot of the information is confusing. I found a lot of the sites that were written in flowery language, and it would be good if they could write in plain English. Most of the sites I visited said about the symptoms, but not many explained in what was happening inside them when they were having an attack. I was also saddened by the lack of support out there for panic attacks teenagers.
Looking through the information I was getting confused, and to be honest in a lot of the articles it seemed to suggest that this condition was with you for the rest of your life. This condition does not have to stay with you for the rest of your life there are panic attack treatments that can help you.
