Outsource Article Writing - Guidance For Using Freelancing Sites

Sean Mize

Finding the ghostwriter who's a perfect fit for your writing needs can be very difficult at this time. This is because there are a lot of people in the world wide web who are either out there to scam you or do not really care in giving you your money's worth.

For your protection, I recommend that you use freelancing sites when outsourcing your article writing needs. These sites offer security features so you can make sure that your ghostwriter will not run away with your money. In addition, you can leave feedback after the project is done. Since most freelancers are not really happy receiving bad feedback, you can be assured that they'll do anything to please you.

Here's a guide on how you can use freelancing sites:

1. First thing to do is to select the freelancing site where you would like to post your project to. Right now, there are hundreds of freelancing sites in the World Wide Web. It's important that you do your research before you sign up. Read about their terms and conditions particularly their rates. Some sites will actually charge you and your ghostwriter 10% of the project cost. Of course, you would want to go with that site that charge less and that has a lot of members.

2. Sign up. You will need to sign up before you'll be allowed to post a project. As you're the buyer, you really don't need to provide much information. You'll just be required to provide personal information that includes your name, address, phone number, etc.

3. Create a project. Be very descriptive when writing your projects so you can minimize the question from bidders. Instead of saying "I need 50 articles about running shoes", tell them your required word count and keyword density. You may also want to indicate your preferred format, (example; each article must have at least 4 paragraphs or use bullet points) writing style, and tone. The more descriptive your project is, the better.

4. Review the bids. I suggest that you do this after 24 hours so you can give bidders who are coming from different parts of the globe a chance to bid on your project. Don't forget to check the ghostwriters' ratings and qualifications. Then, select at least 3 writers for your short list.

5. Interview your short list. This is something that you need to do so you can verify their skills. You may opt to ask them to write one article for you so you can gauge right away if they're the perfect fit. Of course, you would like to select that person who have proven track of record, who charge fairly, and who understand your needs.

6. Set up expectations. It's better if you tell your chosen ghostwriters about your expectations before you award the project. Tell him/her when do you expect to get the articles and that you expect him/her to give you regular updates. Also, ask about the things that he/she will need from you to get started. The clearer your expectations are, the better.

7. The next step is to award the project and to set up the escrow. Don't send advance payment so you can avoid running the risk of having somebody stealing your money without delivering the articles you need.
