Search Engine Marketing | Blogging to Get More Customers. By Mike McCoy
Blogging to Get More Customers.
There are so many websites that are selling so many products that it can be hard to know which websites to trust. When a business begins blogging, they build a sense of trust between the business and their potential customers.
Corporate Blogs
When blogging to get customers, it's all about trust, and a big part of that is to forge a more personal relationship with the blog's readers. Even keeping a corporate blog can accomplish this if there are enough personal, human details to make people see past the corporate face and start seeing the humans who run it.
Some corporate blogs get bloggers from the company to write blog posts about the company that are laden with personal details. Sometimes that includes pictures form company events, pictures of the corporate office and individual stories about people who work there.
Blogging Product Information
Sometimes that difference between someone buying something and not buying something is the amount of information they have about it. By expanding the product description or explaining uses of a product, a buyer who is on the fence about buying a product may be swayed by having more information that they can use to make their decision.
SEO Blogs
Another advantage of using a blog to get customers is that a blogging can be done with a large variety of keywords that can be used to bring in more customers. The main business website may not have room for the many SEO and LSI terms that a company could use to bring in customers for each of the products. However, a blog never runs out of space.
By updating an SEO blog frequently with lots of new posts, each focusing on a few keywords, the number of SEO terms that can bring in customers quickly climbs. The keywords that are chosen can be expanded to draw in customers who are looking for the exact product, the general category and even to bring in those who have a problem that can be solved by having the product.
Blogging with an expanded number of keywords will bring in higher numbers of customers from search engines. Because most people use search engines to find what they are looking for online, this is an important group of people to draw in. With more people visiting the blog, there are more people visiting the blog who will click on links to see the main site. Blogging can then lead to more products being purchased.
