Kingdom Business As Mission Business Acceleration Training #10
Patrick Bell
I’m Patrick Bell and this is your Kingdom Business As Mission 2-minute lesson.
Today we’re going to talk about Performing an internal integrity audit, Part 2.
Perhaps you have heard of the term “Baker’s Dozen”. It dates back to the 13th Century in England and was part of a code of ethics associated with the Worshipful Company of Bakers in London. Bakers who were caught cheating their customers could be punished by having their hand cut off with an axe. To avoid this, bakers began to give 13 pieces (or small loaves) of bread to a customer instead of the usual 12 in a dozen to avoid any possibility of being known as a cheat.
In much of the world today, I found that people will first try to cheat me, then apologize saying that they made a mistake if I caught them in the act. But this experience only works for the seller in the short term. They might deceive me once, but when I learn the truth, I’ll never do business with them again.
Today it is so difficult to gain a new customer, but so much easier to sell to an existing customer. If you do what is right the first time, you will establish a reputation as someone who can be trusted and your business will grow. It’s so sure that it should be one of laws of the universe.
In the long run, you must be rewarded for the value you provide.
I really appreciate a man named Stephen Pierce who mentored me for a year in an Internet Marketing program. He is a man of great integrity and is well worth studying. In fact, you can get a free book from Stephen at www.makerealmoneyontheinternet.com.
