This is important to know as it can heavily impact you and your organizational goals because just about all Koreans act and react according to cultural norms.

So, to a foreigner, even if something would seem to make sense to do it may not be done simply because of Korean culture.

Korean culture places a lot of emphasis on relationships. Relationships built on mutual trust and friendship run deep in Korean culture and cannot be ignored. Most Koreans maintain friendships from as early as elementary school. The most influential relationships are those from university.

Be prepared to witness what may seem to be delays or unusual tactics. These may stem from relationships between the Korean parties.
