From watching movies on 70 mm screens to snuggling in the quilts on wintry nights watching television, entertainment has evolved over the years. The dialogues of movie stars have given way to the jingles on radio and the award functions on television. Entertainment, the very word, has redefined itself in all these decades. Once a small part of our life, it has now entered our private space and encroaches us in a big way.

To take a break from the monotonous boring life, entertainment is the only tool which comes to our rescue. Be it playing the various FM stations in our cars or on our cell phones while commuting or killing time at home being a couch potato, entertainment has become indispensable for us.

The soothing sound of music echoing our rooms in the morning marks the initiation of the day for many of us. The very first seeds of the entertainment germinate from the cartoons that we all see throughout our childhood and some of us, can even vouch for them today. The colorful pictures running on the television screen marks our first acquaintance with the world of Hindi News entertainment. Those cute looking characters become our very first best friends in no time and living in that wonderland was all that we could think of. And, later, how this inclination evolves into an everlasting relation with the television. Soon, the cartoons give way to quiz contests, which further meander to the discovery channel and then to other entertaining channels. So, our bond with the television box has become stronger over the years and will continue to be one.

And, in case being a couch potato is not enough, then, other options are always available to explore and quench your thirst for meaningful entertainment. The cities are buzzing with theatre activities, thronging the stage of various auditoriums. The vibrant colors and the exaggerated emotions and humane themes are intellectuals’ forte and their source of entertainment. And, the medium has moved from classes to masses and now again gaining popularity among the masses. So for all the theatre lovers, entertainment is a step away.

With various options available, there is no dearth of entertainment. Wherever you look, you will find yourself being gripped into bundles of joy and excitement. And, what better way to relax your nerves than losing yourself into the fantasy world of entertainment.
