There are three main places I use to find writing gigs. Elance, Guru and the Warrior Forum. I personally use the Warrior Forum the most. I have been able to bring in well over $600 in 48 hours on that site just by writing articles for online business owners.
All you need to do is go to the site, register, and then place your ad in the section called "warriors for hire". If you are new to the forum you might want to offer one free article to the first five people so you can get some feedback to use with your offer. Though not a must, it does help when others see that you have some positive feedback. The site gets a ton of traffic so if you post a good offer, you should get a decent amount of responses.
I would suggest setting up a separate email to deal with your orders. It just makes things a lot easier to keep up with. Also make sure you respond to any email within 24 hours. If you don't there is a good chance the potential customer will find someone else to do the work for them.
