Steven Sadlier: Hi I am Steven Sadleir. And we’re talking about the history of Christianity have gone back to the first century and we’re reading from the Gospel of Thomas and there is a verse I want to focus on with you it’s beautiful its in Verse 13. “Jesus is asking his disciples who he Christ is like. Simon Peter says, “You are like a righteous angel.” Matthew states “You are like a wise philosopher.” And he turns to Thomas, and Thomas states, “Master my mouth is wholly incapable of saying whom you are like.” Were upon Jesus replies to him, “I am not your master because you have drunk you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring which I have measured out.”

So Thomas has become intoxicated from the bubbling spring which he has measured out like getting like turning the water into wine, which is a colloquialism amongst the Aramaic speaking Semitic people of the first century. So this idea of being high when with your master is very similar to what they refer to in India as Darshan or receiving Shaktipat. There is energy that you literally high on and sometimes you’ll get that just praying or being in good gospel wrap. You know just letting your heart go it could be your baptism. It could be any place where you really open your heart to receive. But here Jesus is showing us that there is something within for us to realize. And I just want you to realize that.
