Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian – Is There Really a Difference?
Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian? If you ask most people today, they might attribute certain practices and qualifications to a “nutritionist” and a “dietitian” based solely on the names.
A nutritionist might be thought of as someone who applies an expertise in foods and nutrition sources to helping someone achieve better health through eating.
A dietitian is often thought of as someone who helps people regulate their diets for better weight control. While neither description is completely accurate, both could apply to either name.
