The Simple Yet Elegant Solution To What Is Killing Us
Alvin Donovan
So we have rising oil prices, more stress in the workplace, families struggling to stay together, violence in our streets, global warming because of burning carbon and the economy is going to the devil.
What else is new you say? No matter what you say, there is only one real solution which is to go back to the family unit as the center of focus.
Many years ago, the family was more cohesive, more productive with a lot more sensibility in every day lives. That was when the family unit was based around self sufficiency.
The family was schooled in home, the entire family worked to support their own survival. Everything revolved around making the family unit prosperous and efficient and self reliant.
Then came automobiles and working in offices and factories as a way to generate income and look what has happened?
Children and their parents spend up to 2 hours to and from a dangerous school envirnment full of underpaid staff where they learn who knows what by no idea of what method. Kids are lucky to graduate high school alive these days.
Workers spend up to 2 hours each way to work fighting traffic all the while spewing carbon into the environment. All the while getting little or no exercise.
The house or apartment they work to support only becomes a place to catch a few hours of disturbed sleep and eat hurredly prepared or take away meals, not a home.
Both parents working, too exhausted to notice much less help with kids. Parents not spending enough time with their kids resulting in unruly behavior, stress, violence and jail.
Traffic, pollution. How did we get here? This is all so last century it is becoming a rapidly increasing death spiral!
But it does not have to be that way. There is a solution, which if adopted now would make this all go away.
The one simple, easy solution is to go back to the family unit as the center of focus. Both parents change their current work status to work from home via vidcon. All of the children in the home change their education provider to an in home system.
This results in a family unit that is under one roof together.
While the parents would be working and the children shooling they would be together however focused on their own tasks.
The time saved from commuting can now be employed to do some form of creative exercise. The family meal times together can now be enjoyed as a way to share quality inter personal growth time with each other.
