Why Aluminum Briefcases Rip Job Interviews Apart
Shannon Hilson
It is not hard to find hundreds of tips circulating around about the many ways to leave an interview feeling like you will be awarded salesman of the year. Despite the helpful tips that these sources may have not many focus on visual appeal. Very few would even mention the fact that aluminum briefcases are more likely to get you noticed over the traditional leather briefcases. If you have read one tip after the next, but still think that there is something missing then this article will help you to see why aluminum briefcases should be your first choice in going to a job interview.
Visual Appeal Says It All
By nature humans judge by physical appeal and the cold fact is that people with beautiful features are more likely to nail a job interview over those that are not considered beautiful. This does not mean that companies are hiring mindless people who only have pretty faces and know how to dress to bear the company's image. It also does not mean that someone who has burnt the midnight lamp to get good grades and climb the ladder of success will be overlooked for a job. What it means is that you have far more chances of being remembered after a job interview if you are properly dressed and grab the interviewer's attention with a unique characteristic. This unique characteristic can be achieved by fleeing from the traditional leather and using aluminum briefcases to get a second glance when you walk into an interview room. This, however, will have to be backed with the right attire, excellent communication skills and relevant work experience to really nail the job of your dreams.
Color and Design
Gone are the days when aluminum briefcases were linked to pesky salesmen that would go from door to door offering free samples of products. Today aluminum briefcases are associated with prestige, character, firmness, style and sophistication and this is partly one of the reasons why people are using them more and more. Added to this is the fact that they are far cheaper and last almost ten times longer than leather, cloth, paper and hundreds of other materials. They are also considered 'daring' objects due to the fact that they are commonly used in bad boy films.
While you want to be daring enough to catch the attention of your interviewer, you also want to be innocent enough to make it seem that you are doing it so naturally that it is part of who you are. Using aluminum cases with designs and colors that are unique, original and full of character, but subtle is just one of the ways of getting your interviewer to reconsider you.
Fully Covered
Imagine walking into an interview wearing a really nice pin stripe suite with tennis. This is the image that interviewers get of you when they ask for examples of past work (if you are a designer, architect or music artist) and see you fidgeting through a leather briefcase that has very few compartments. The flip side to this is that aluminum briefcases are nicely made with compartments that allow you to organize as many documents as you want in the way that you want. You will not look odd in an interview with this type of product and will leave the impression of a firm and organized person after leaving the interview room.
